An Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the American Society of Appraisers, Ronald M. Gold, is the past (1999-2000) president of the Society's New York City Chapter. Mr. Gold currently serves the Society as Chairman of its prestigious National Task Force on Public Relations to the Legal Community. A member of the internationally esteemed Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Mr. Gold is an active commercial and residential real estate appraiser working primarily in Manhattan. He is an instructor for the Real Estate Board of New York and the Greater Harlem Real Estate Board. A popular teacher and lecturer, he offers courses at The Learning Annex and other institutions.
Ron Gold's intimate knowledge of New York City real estate -- from commercial loft buildings to single family townhouses, from cooperative and condominium apartments to mixed use store & apartment buildings, from United Nations missions to diplomatic consulates -- makes him the ideal real estate appraiser for commercial as well as residential properties, and is the reason why he is frequently called on to teach and to serve as an expert appraisal witness. After natural disasters and catastrophes — hurricanes, floods, fires, etc. — Mr. Gold is New York's go-to appraiser for loss and damage appraisals for insurance claims and IRS deductions.
And Ron is not just a New York phenomenon. As M.O. of Pittsburgh PA wrote recently: "It's great that your testimony and evidence is admissable in several state and federal courts. You're my Ace in the Hole!"
As busy as he is, Ron not only gets to know each client personally, but -- more importantly -- he personally inspects each property his firm appraises, and he signs and certifies each appraisal report. When you call on Ron to do your next appraisal, you'll understand why his clients say "Ron's the man with the golden touch".
